Whitehawk Hill Wildlife & Heritage Walk
Join ranger Paul and walk the chalk at the city’s oldest hidden gem – Whitehawk Hill. Discover the ancient monument that pre-dates Stonehenge by 500 years, stroll amongst our flock of sheep as they carry out their essential bio-mowing services, helping us retain the ancient grassland, and enjoy the butterflies, birds and wildflowers.
Meet outside the Wyvale Garden Centre car park, Warren Rd (bus no.2 from town)
Sunday 11th September 12pm – 2:30pm
Some steep hills, largely mitigated by diagonal paths.
Dogs welcome but on a lead please, as there will be sheep!
If raining please assume event is cancelled.
