Philosophy in Pubs (PIP) are a group of people who enjoy discussing their ideas and thoughts and learning from each other. No academic or formal background is necessary only a passion for enquiry.
They meet on the second Sunday of each month, always at the Palmeira pub, Cromwell Road, Hove. Normally around 40 – 50 people attend. Groups consist of no more than 10 people and include a facilitator. The idea is for people to engage in dialogue without the constraints of a meeting agenda.
Respect for others and their opinions is a fundamental requirement of the group as it encourages people to put forward their ideas without fear of ridicule, intimidation or hidden agenda
