What’s up with Article 50 ? Explaining Rights and Brexit.
This session examines the topical issue, including last week’s High Court
decision, of the Brexit process. Students will be asked to look at brief
statements – treaty articles, referendum questions, court judgments,
politicians’ lies and silences – and together we’ll make sense (!) of the
brexit process. Rights, their source and nature, and their breach or
removal – including human rights, parliamentary rights, European rights,
historical rights, statute rights, and so on – are at the core of the
brexit debate.
