Launch of the Brighton Pensioners Campaign.Brighton has recently established a local National Pensioners Campaign to fight attacks on our pensions, care provision and to ensure a better future for all of us as we grow old. In this launch meeting Dot Gibson, the National General Secretary of National Pensioners Convention will speak on ‘Pensioners and the General Election’
Dot is an excellent speaker who featured in Ken Loach’s film The Spirit of 45 She will explain the different politics of the various political parties and the impact on pensioners.
The meeting will be held in the Free University Brighton event space on the 3rd floor of Prestamex House. This opposite the west side of Preston Park next to the Travelodge Hotel. It is on the 5, 5A and 5B bus routes and the building has lift/wheelchair access.
All ages welcome.
