‘Good work’ is seen as positive, enhancing mental and physical well-being to help address
health inequalities across the social spectrum. It also impacts positively on business
performance. Public policy now relies on the workplace in supporting the health
improvement of its staff. We will explore these factors, along with the detrimental effect of unemployment on health.
