6-week module 7pm- 9pm on Thursday evenings from 14th May to 18 June
This is a 6 week module which is part of our degree level course in Feminism, Gender and Sexuality, but anyone can join. Suitable for complete beginners and those who haven’t studied history before.
You’ll explore women’s lives throughout human history from evolution to the present day. We start by looking at gender inequalities today and then delve into the past to try and understand their origins.
You’ll be introduced to some key women who have fought for women’s rights, and their campaigns and achievements. Specific attention will be paid to working-class women, who are most often ignored and forgotten.
