Event Type

Many of us owe our lives to the National Health Service. On it’s 65th birthday, the Coalition Government are busy dismantling and selling off the NHS to profit-making companies. This city-wide event is part of a national protest to highlight the Government’s privatisation programme and to galvanise people to fight for free, publicly-run healthcare.

Event will take place on the North Lawn of St Peter’s Church, York Place, Brighton.

Speakers include MP Caroline Lucas and Pip Tindall from Unison.

There will be live music from Silver Sounds, Momma Swift, Ska Toons, Maracatu and the Red and Green Singers. Plus birthday cake, information stalls and signing of a giant birthday card.

Event organised by Women Against the Cuts, Defend the NHS, & Brighton Keep Our NHS Public.
