A free afternoon drop in event at Fabrica gallery celebrating the theme of favourite objects, those quirky things we form attachments with. Teddy bears, photo albums, favourite clothes, and little knick knacks which we hold dear.
The event will host creative workshops, exhibitions, talks, and a free afternoon cafe with tea and cake. We have workshops from artists Jane Fordham, and Lulu Allison, drop in reminiscence sessions, a talk about objects of desire through time from local historian Sarah Tobias, a film screening from Lorenza Ippolito, and music from Anna Sin and the Jukebox Bandits – “Anna Sin and the Jukebox Bandits bring the 1950s alive once more with their ‘true to the much loved era’ skiffle renditions of rock ‘n’ roll and R&B classics. With vintage props, lighting, instruments and style the Bandits take you back in time with a new, youthful and Brightonian twist.”
We follow this event with a free film showing at 6.30pm. A cosy screening of Robot and Frank (a friendship tale) with cushions, refreshments and nibbles. There will be a pay bar
