Do know where your food comes from?
Ever thought it strange that we ask people what they THINK about food issues but not how they FEEL? Then this workshop run by Food Sovereignty Sussex is for you. A fun interactive intuitive community event. A chance to go deeper and explore our ancestral histories around food and the choices we perceive to make today. Please spread widely to diverse communities and those socially and economically marginalized.
Food Journey Part I
A multi-sensory, immersive journey, exploring the colonial history of our foodways.
Participating in this workshop will help you to understand how the unique, historical trade and aid routes of Britain link it to its present day impact on culture, tastes, health, community, economics and
oppression.
Do you define your experience with food in the world or has the world defined it for you?
Food Journeys Part II
Why do you eat what you eat?
Do you really exercise choice when you eat, or when you buy, or where
you shop?
Participating in this part of the workshop will cause you to think again
about why we eat the way we do eat and what the real consequences of our
eating are.”
