Plumpton College at Stanmer Park, Brighton is offering a FREE short taster course- ‘FLOURISH’: An Introduction to Horticulture
Plumpton College is offering this hands-on practical introduction to horticulture. Horticulture is one of the largest employment sectors in the UK. It will introduce you to the industry ,improve your employability skills or improve your skills if an amateur.
THE COURSE
At the end of the 5 week course you will gain a City & Guilds 7573 Award in Practical Horticulture Skills. Examples of topics on the course include tree planting, seed sowing, vegetable growing, pruning, soil cultivation, soil analysis, container growing, plant identification and taking cuttings. It runs on Thursdays from 7th March 2013, 10.00 to 3.30 at Stanmer Park, Brighton. Or you can join ANY Thursday till 17th May (except 4th & 11th April). Some may wish to continue for more than 5 weeks to gain the Certificate or Diploma.

Free to anyone who wants to work in horticulture and keen amateur gardeners alike.

Come along to the interview/advice session (2pm Mon 4th March, Stanmer Park) to discuss the course, and assess the suitability of the course for you. If joining on a Thursday other than 7th March please come at 9.40 on your first day to discuss the course suitability for you and phone/email at least two days before to check availability.
