With women’s unemployment at a 25 year high and over 75% of the money cut from welfare spending coming from women’s pockets, what can we do to counter the coalition’s attack on women?

This is a panel debate organised by the Green Party as part of their Autumn conference.

Chaired by Natalie Bennett (Leader of the Green Party). Panelists include Kat Banyard (author of The Equality Illusion and founder of UK Feminista), Dr Tamsin Hinton-Smith (Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Sussex and Research Fellow at the Centre for Gender Studies), Lia Latchford (from Imkaan, a black feminist organisation which addresses violence against women and girls nationally and the impact of the cuts on specialist services for BME women) and Ash Haynes (Young Green Councillor in Norwich).

Location: Oxford Suite of the Brighton Metropole Hotel
