WHAT IS HAPPENING TO OUR GP SERVICES ?
Last year, two of our local GP surgeries closed, Eaton Place and Goodwood Court are gone. With 1 in 3 GPs planning to retire in the next 5 years, more surgeries face closure.
New doctors don’t want to train as GPs – there’s a 20% shortfall – and £1bn has been cut from GP practices in the last 5 years.
10% of GP Surgeries are now run by private companies. Will we soon have to pay to see our GP? £25 for a video consultation?
So, what can we do to save our GP surgeries?
