The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership – an opportunity or a threat?

Speakers:
John Hilary (Executive Director, War on Want) and
Tom Lines (GreenHouse thinktank and local anti-TTIP campaigner)

The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) is a proposed free trade agreement between the European Union and the United States. Proponents say the agreement would result in multilateral economic growth, while critics say it would increase corporate power and make it more difficult for governments to regulate markets for public benefit.

Greenspeak aims to provide a friendly, thought-provoking forum for talks and discussions on a wide range of topics.  The events are run in association with Brighton & Hove Green Party, although all are welcome regardless of political persuasion and we encourage people from a broad range of backgrounds and viewpoints to come together to contribute to the debate on a wide range of green-related themes.

The events are free; however donations are very welcome and are necessary in order to run the events.  All contributions are used solely to put on Greenspeak events.
