The Power of Message
No matter who you are, or what you do, messages are important.
You might be stuck writing an essay. You might want to ace a job interview. Or you might want to improve your interactions with people
Whatever your goal, crafting effective messages can have positive and far reaching effects.
This workshop has three main objectives:
1. To look at how many messages we send and receive, and the impact they have on us and others.
2. To practise identifying significant messages, the ones that have the greatest importance.
3. To practise the skills of clarifying and crafting significant messages.
This is a workshop rather than a lecture, based on a series of interactive and gently thought provoking exercises. You can choose how much you want to participate. Different people learn in different ways, and we all have different levels of confidence. It might be that you haven’t been to a workshop like this before, in which case sitting and watching is perfectly ok. No one will put any pressure on you. You are free to find what best suits you.
The workshop facilitator is Ian Jones. Ian will stay in the cafe until 5pm, so that people can stay if they want to, and perhaps work on specific issues.
