The Ecological Land Cooperative

The next Mutual Aid in Sussex meeting, on Wednesday 20 July, will include a talk with Zoe Wangler, founding member and director of the Ecological Land Co-operative, which was set up to address the lack of affordable sites for ecological land based livelihoods in England. This was originally planned for last month but Zoe had to pull out due to illness – it’s now definitely happening on the 20th July.

Zoe will set out what the co-op does, its roots, and why the members chose to be a multi-stakeholder co-op. She’ll share some of their failures and successes, the challenges they face, their plans for the future and ideas for collaboration.

Our monthly meeting will start at 7pm at Coachwerks, 19A Hollingdean Terrace, Brighton. Zoe’s talk will follow at 8pm. Our meetings are a space where people from different co-ops, social enterprises, ethical small businesses and anyone else interested can get together to introduce each other and see how we can help each other. For those that come early or stay late, the meeting will include a tour of the co-ops at Coachwerks.

Please bring vegan food to share if you can.
