THE BUTTERFLIES OF BACK & BEYOND
Join park ranger Paul for a walk around Castle Hill National Nature Reserve, which contains some of the best chalk grassland habitat in the area.
We’ll be looking out for Adonis blue, Small blue, Wall brown,skippers and lots of caterpillars.
Wild orchids will also be in bloom, as well as many other local wildflowers.
Meet in car park just up the road from corner of Falmer Rd/Bexhill Rd
Bus – 2, 22 (get off at Downs Hotel and walk up the road to car park).
Moderate hills with steeper slopes to explore.
