Reading Retail, observations from the shop floor

This talk will take a whistle-stop tour through Harvey’s personal observations of retail commencing in a butchers shop at the age of 13 and concluding with his current research investigating food street markets. On the way it will consider a range of perspectives highlighting some of the less obvious aspects of the retail sector.
This talk is part of Brains at the Bevy: A series of short and enlightening talks from local academics.

Talks start at 6pm and will last for an hour, including lots of time for questions and discussion. Tea and coffee will be provided during the talk and all are welcome to stay on afterwards to enjoy the lovely food and drink available at the Bevy.
