A Workshop investigating themes of ‘Motherhood: the (Un)speakable (Un)spoken’.

FREE!

There are 12 places. Workshops on 15 Feb, 3 & 10 March from 12-2pm.

This workshop is part of research and development for a Contemporary Theatre piece investigating the journey into parenthood, focussing on motherhood. It will feed various voices into the piece as well as providing an opportunity for peer support and space to reflect on our personal judgements and assumptions around our journey into parenthood.

We aim to investigate some of the following themes:

Longing
Pregancy
Birth
Post Natal Depression
Mothering as Learned Experience
Mothering in Practice
The love

We will do so working cross art form, using drawing, writing, modeling (with play-doh), pair work (such as mirroring, interviewing) and group sharing. Participants can also choose to be witnesses, to watch, observe, write, draw in response, and focus on being present and listening.
All levels of prior experience are welcome.

Privacy

The content of the workshop will not be for public view. There will be some documentation to help capture the research. No person’s image/ ideas will be used publicly without permissions.
