Speaker:Antonella De Santo, Professor of Physics
Part of the series: Professorial Lecture

The Large Hadron Collider (or LHC) is the world’s largest and most powerful particle smasher. Based at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, it recreates conditions similar to those that existed in our universe shortly after the Big Bang. I work on the ATLAS experiment at the LHC, where, after the momentous discovery of the Higgs boson, I am exploring the “terra incognita” beyond the Standard Model of Particle Physics. I will present highlights from this exciting journey.

This is a free, open lecture – everyone is welcome, but numbers are limited.
