Growing Oyster Mushrooms at Home
An introduction to growing gourmet mushrooms at home.
This is a free workshop for anyone who experiences stress, depression, anxiety or any other mental health problems. Places are limited on a first come first served basis.

Where: The Bevy Pub
This is a hands-on workshop that will give you the skills and knowledge to grow Oyster mushrooms at home using equipment found in most kitchens.
You will assemble your own “grow-at-home” kit to take home and there will be discussion about the potential for mushrooms to support health and wellbeing. You will gain an oversight of what they require to grow in your garden, on a balcony and even in your kitchen.
There will be a hands-on follow along demonstration and handouts to take with you on how to easily grow Oyster Mushrooms at home using common household items.
**You will take your kit home with you!**

The life cycle and anatomy of fungi
The role of Fungi in the ecosystem
How to grow mushrooms on a number of different materials
How fungi can benefit your health
How fungi can be used to clean up pollution
And you will receive a kit containing all you need to grow your own crop of Oyster mushrooms!

and is on the 49 bus route. There is a stop announced as the Bevendean pub.
