Greenway railway history tour and pop up picnic

Join the Friends of Brighton Greenway for a pop-up picnic event on Sunday 13th September from midday on Greenway (above Boston Street, just behind the Clarenden Centre on New England Street). Bring food and drink to share, and something to sit on.

At 3pm there will be a guided walk from Brighton Station to London Road Station via the Greenway as part of Heritage Open Door weekend. The walk will look at Brighton railway history and community gardens and will start by the cycle hub at Brighton Station at 3pm (Brighton Station).

At the event, the Friends hope to be inaugurating:

  • the completion of the Jenny Lind sculpture on the New England Road bridge
  • and possibly also the completion of the southern Greenway up to Brighton Station

Help them celebrate while enjoying a nice afternoon outdoors!
