In December, 2012, David Cameron made a public apology in Parliament for the murder of Belfast civil rights lawyer Pat Finucane. Finucane was assassinated in 1989 by loyalist paramilitaries, with help and support from the British state. These real life events bear an eerie resemblance to the story told in Hidden Agenda, released in 1990. In this film an American civil rights lawyer is killed with the help of the British state, a conspiracy that goes to the very top of government. A political thriller that has come back to haunt the British, 22 years later. (1990, Drama. 108 minutes) Free/donation.
