Feeding the 5000

A delicious solution to the problem of food waste!

5,000 lunches will be served, made entirely out of food that would otherwise have been wasted.

The event is being organised by a group of local organisations including Brighton & Hove Food Partnership, Brighton & Hove City Council, Fareshare Brighton, Food Waste Collective, Real Junk Food Project, Love Activists Brighton, University of Sussex Students’ Union and University of Brighton with guidance and support from Feedback. The event will shine a light on global and regional food waste issues.

This free feast is for everyone, whether you could otherwise afford to buy a lunch or not. Everyone is welcome, because food waste affects all of us. And there will be plenty for all!

This fabulous free lunch will be accompanied by cookery demos by awesome chefs, and inspiring talks from food campaigners.
