Emergency First Aid for Community Gardens

*This course is organised by Brighton & Hove Food Partnership. It’s free but places are currently limited to groups working with vulnerable adults with a maximum of two people per project*
This course is designed for people who want to receive training in emergency first aid and is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments. The content of this course provides basic life saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations, covering the following:
- Aims / Purpose of First Aid
- Emergency Planning
- Emergency first aid covering – care of an unconscious casualty / airway management / the recovery position
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
- Choking
- Head Injuries
- Fractures and dislocations
- Severe bleeding
- Treatment of shock
- Burns and scald
- Seizures
- Anaphylaxis
