Where

Friends Meeting House
Ship Street, Brighton, BN1 1AF

Event Type

Nearly a century after women won the right to vote, less than 1 in 4 MPs are female. With significant under-representation in all forms of political life, what are the implications for women and the day-to-day issues that affect us?

Join us to discuss and debate the role of politics and activism in our lives now.

Caroline Lucas MP will lead a discussion on the social, economic and political challenges women will face in the year ahead. There will be short workshops on topics such as successful campaigning, the impact of austerity and climate change. Sarah Cope, convenor of the national Green Party Women’s Group, will be speaking on women and Green politics.
