Middle Street has the finest 19th century decorative interior of any building in Brighton with the sole exception of the Brighton Pavilion.

Built in 1875 by Thomas Lainson (a gentile) it is described as an opulent jewel in Brighton’s architectural crown and features superb metal work and stained glass windows. The European Routes of Jewish Heritage nominated it as one  of Britain’s top 10 Synagogues.

The Synagogue is open between 2pm and 4.30pm on the following dates:

4, 11, 18 & 25 May and 1 June.
