Candlelight vigil for abducted Nigerian Girls
On April 16, armed men from a militant group called Boko Haram abducted over 200 school girls from the Nigerian town of Chibok. They bundled them into a convoy of trucks then disappeared into the dense forest bordering Cameroon. Boko Haram especially opposes the education of women. Human rights groups say the militants kidnap girls to perform chores and sexual services.
This week there will be vigils in cities and towns across the UK to draw attention to the missing girls.
Please bring candles and signs.
