Calais Children: A Case to Answer (film screening)
CALAIS CHILDREN: A CASE TO ANSWER (UK 2017, 62 min) is an award-winning documentary about the 2000 unaccompanied minors left abandoned in the Calais Jungle in late 2016 despite having a strong claim to UK protection. It tells what happened to them over the following year, what they’ve had to go through, and the ongoing fight to get them to safety.
CALAIS CHILDREN is soon being screened in Parliament, hosted by Lord Alf Dubs. It has been submitted as evidence to the High Court Appeal in Feb-March 2018 where the Home Office were challenged over children it’s argued should have been brought to the U.K. under the Dubs Amendment. (result expect in July 2018.)
