Campaign for Education
The next meeting of the campaign will take place on Weds 2nd July at 7pm at the Duke of Wellington Pub in Hove. We will meet in the upstairs meeting room and the venue is 5 minutes walk from Brighton station.
The main items for the agenda will be to continue with/finalise our plans for events/meetings/seminars on:
- Early Years education;
- Further & Adult Education;
- The alternative to Global Education Reform (GERM);
- A Manifesto for Education for the City.
We would also like to agree the final wording of our Statement and for an initial leaflet. We will also update on the July 5th No to Hove Park Academy march and picnic and on the preparation for the Stand Up for Education component of the July 10th day of action. There are also some administrative and communication arrangements that we would like to make – including the construction of a webpage or blog (volunteers to help on this would be very welcome).
