Women’s DIY workshop: Constructing and putting up shelves
10.30am to 1pm, Saturday 12 May 2018
The Vallance Community Centre, Unit 2 Conway Court, Sackville Road, Hove.
This is an introductory classroom-based session.
We will start by looking at the different types of shelving and how to construct them. We will also look at the different types of fixings for solid and hollow walls.
Although we won’t actually be building shelves in this session, there will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions about and talk through your shelving and any other DIY projects.
If you have any tools or power tools you want to know how to use, bring them along.
The session will be facilitated by Ali who runs local woodworking business Salvage & Splinter
