An art exhibition and poetry readings by Artist Hong Dam. Hong’s art exhibition and poem, ‘Sympathy for the Dandelion’ is about is about her life as one of the ‘Vietnamese Boat People’: A refugee’s story through the lens of an artist. She likens migrants to dandelions – depending on your perspective dandelions are either unwanted weeds or useful flowers.

The central theme of this exhibition is childhood memories. People will be invited to share by writing their childhood memories on a small snippet of paper and pin them up on the muslin as part of the ongoing interactive installation.

CFx1q80W8AEUYyTHong will also run an origami workshop – suitable for all ages and highly recommended.
