The Cowley Club’s Radical Film Night presents “The Take”.
In 2001 Argentina faced economic disaster, and was in a similar place that Greece finds itself today. Ordinary Argentians rose up against the failure of the system, and in many cases the workers took ownership of factories threatened with closure. The Take explores the stories of several of these worker-run cooperatives, who triumphed in the face of a hostile government and international community. (2004. Spanish and English. Documentary)
