Are you interested in social change? Would you like to explore how we can work towards it with compassion but without violence? If so, this 8-week course could be for you. Combining practices from Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and insights from social theory, it is open to anyone and will run every Saturday, 10am-11.30am, between April 7th and May 26th.

Neil Howard, the course facilitator, is a lecturer in Development Studies and a trainer-in-training with the Centre for Nonviolent Communication.

For those not familiar with NVC, please have a look at this to learn more about it and its founder, Marshall B. Rosenberg. In simple terms, it is a philosophy of non-violence with a set of tools that support how we relate to ourselves, to each other and to the world. Although it may sound ‘fluffy’, it is far from it. And it is being used by radical organisers on all continents.

The course outline can be downloaded here.
