Upper Hollingdean Road
CREATIVE WRITING COURSE
The course is for anyone who wants to explore creative writing – no experience is necessary, although experienced writers have also benefitted. Your writing will not be ‘marked’ and there is no homework, although suggestions may be given about how to extend writing done during the sessions. The aim is to enjoy writing creatively and to explore some ideas and techniques for doing this.
The sessions are all self-contained and cover 10 themes. The course does not provide advice on how to get published.
Sessions run for two and a half hours, including a break mid-way; they usually begin with a brief discussion of the theme, followed by one or two sessions of actual writing. You will have the opportunity to share your work with the group and give and receive feedback.
About the facilitator: Maria Ragusa (Post-grad Dip in Creative Writing) taught Creative Writing at Tertiary level for many years and has run a creative writing group in Brighton since 2015.
If the course is fully booked, please contact us to go on the waiting list as a place may become free nearer the time.
