Castle Hill and Balsdean Histories Walk

Meet at the Castle Hill National Nature Reserve Car Park [Grid reference TQ356063. Buses 2, 22 & 52.]

The second of three different history walks with leader David Cuthbertson, uncovering the stories of our eastern downs.

Learn how Brighton in the 1920s stopped Oscar Selbach from spoiling our downs. Walk down his WW1 German POW-built road, past failed housing estates, to his Balsdean Manor Pig Farm. And more!

4.7 miles (2 ¾ hours), challenging walk with some hills.
