Breathe in Brighton: Anti-Idling Campaign Launch

Join local campaigners in promoting the launch of their anti-idling campaign and meet like-minded people who care about local air pollution and the environment.

Breathe in Brighton is launching a campaign to tackle idling: the act of running an engine when a vehicle is stationary. In order to celebrate the occasion, they are hosting a launch event on the 15th of August at Grand Central, starting at 6pm with an introduction to the campaign at 6:30pm!

Join them for their kick-off event, where you can find out more information on engine idling, and liaise with local environmentalists and air quality experts, helping to create a cleaner and healthier Brighton for all!

The aim of the campaign is to reduce local air pollution through educating the public on the harmful impacts of idling, while also providing useful information on how to reduce emissions through daily mindful decisions on the road. The campaigners hope to work collaboratively with the community, schools and the council to support the education of the problem, whilst identifying viable solutions in the process.

They want to make sure everyone’s voice is heard and hope you can help create and shape the future of Brighton’s transport – for the benefit of everyone’s health and wellbeing.
