Project management built the great wonders of the world and enabled us to defy gravity. At the very least it can help you plan and be better organised.

The thinking and techniques can be applied much more widely, to just about every aspect of your life if you so wish. Project management is not just a job, it’s a life skill. You can use it for planning a big event, moving house and many other things besides

In this practical, two-day introduction to project management, we will explore what makes projects succeed or fail before going on to learn how to define, plan and deliver a project.

The course will cover project governance, planning and estimating resources, managing time, budgeting, understanding and communicating with stakeholders, managing project teams, assessing project risks, issues and dependencies and project evaluation.

Students will learn various project management tools and techniques with plenty of opportunity to practice them on their own or real life projects. There will be fun and imaginative exercises throughout to help you get to grips with the subject and build your confidence.
