Are you interested in social change? Would you like to explore how we can work towards it with compassion but without violence? If so, this 2-day course could be for you. Combining practices from Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and insights from social theory, it is open to anyone.

Neil Howard, the course facilitator, is a lecturer in Development Studies and a trainer-in-training with the Centre for Nonviolent Communication.

In simple terms, it is a philosophy of non-violence with a set of tools that support how we relate to ourselves, to each other and to the world. Although it may sound ‘fluffy’, it is far from it. And it is being used by radical organisers on all continents.

If people are interested or would like to know more, please email Neil Howard at neil.howard@eui .eu. Please also email to confirm your intention to participate.

Given that this is a full weekend, bringing food will probably be a good idea. Neil will bring crisps and hummus and the like, but please would everyone planning to attend also bring nibbles, sandwhiches and whatever they’d like to eat/share.

If you have children and childcare is an obstacle to your attending, please get in touch.
Free but booking essential. If the event is fully booked, email us at contact@freeuniversitybrighton.org to go on the waiting list.
